Hi there! I’m Melody and my experience with trauma work began over twenty years ago through volunteering with kids and teens in the foster care system other vulnerable situations. Those experiences have deeply informed the therapist I am today. Now, I work primarily with young adults that are struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, low self-worth, or the lasting impact of feeling unseen, misunderstood, or invalidated. A lot of my clients grew up in chaotic or high-stress environments and learned early on how to be the strong one, the responsible one, or the person who keeps everything together. Those patterns can be really adaptive, but over time they can also lead to anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, self-criticism, and trouble feeling safe in relationships or even in rest. We will work together to connect the dots between past experiences and your current struggles, to we build language for their experiences, and to define your values so you can start building a life that feels la little less like survival mode and a little more like your own.

Hello! if you're a teenager or adult seeking a space where you feel valued and witnessed with compassion while exploring the potential that exists within you for growth, I would love to get to meet you! I believe that it is vital to hold a curious and supportive role while having a strongly collaborative relationship to foster healing both inside and outside of our space. I find that in our time it's important to acknowledge the impacts of the past, external conditions, systemic issues, and much more. Simultaneously, I aim to encourage clients to rewrite stories/narratives around the present moment in a way that is meaningful and empowering for them. Overall, I have the most experience with concerns related to anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal conflict, and family/relationship challenges. I tailor my therapy for what is effective for each client, but generally implement interventions that are based on compassion, parts-work, psychodynamic, somatic/mindfulness, and multicultural approaches.
