Hello! I work with teens and adults who find themselves feeling anxious, stuck, or unsure of who they are in their relationships or daily life. Whether you are working through anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem, or relationship struggles, I help you uncover the “why” behind patterns that keep repeating, often shaped by early family experiences and the roles we learned to play growing up.  Therapy with me is collaborative and honest, focused on figuring out what is working, what is not, and what might actually feel doable. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Adlerian concepts to help clients understand how their thoughts, values, and family experiences influence the way they navigate the world. Together, we will focus on building awareness, identifying strengths, and creating meaningful change without the pressure to be perfect.  I earned a Master’s in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at El Paso. I believe therapy should feel genuine, a space where you can laugh, vent, reflect, and grow without judgment. Outside of sessions, I spend time with my dogs and enjoy exploring new parts of Tucson as I settle into life here.

Welcome!  I believe everyone at every age and stage has the power within for self-growth and healing, and I am ready to walk that path with you.  My therapy dog Wilma and I work together with older teenagers (16+) and adults using a combination of talk-based (such as unlearning negative self-speech) and somatic body-based (things like grounding to calm the body) interventions to address issues holistically while respecting your authority and expertise on your lived experiences. I work with all general mental health issues, along with autism, ADHD, and the LGBTQIA+ community. I have worked within community mental health agencies, the local public school system, and an inpatient facility, and I have lived experience as a full-time caregiver, a member of both the neurodivergent and the queer communities, and an Air Force veteran. I strive to facilitate a safe, anti-racist, queer-allied, collaborative, accessible space, and I welcome feedback on how I can help make therapy accessible for you.  Reaching out is the first step, I look forward to hearing from you!

Woof!  My name is Wilma and I am a therapy dog working part time with my mom Ariel.  I am a medium/large 1 year old Labradoodle and recently obtained my AKC Canine Good Citizen.  My mom is a therapist at Healing Life Counseling and together we work with older teens and adults struggling with general mental health issues as well as autism, ADHD, and the LGBTQ2IA+ community.  I help in a variety of ways - I can offer physical support like hugs or laying on your lap, I am a great listener if you just want to share your thoughts with me without touching, and I am also happy to nap in my crate if you aren’t in the mood for extra company during your therapy session. When I am not working I enjoy learning new tricks, running really really fast at the park, and chewing my favorite toys.  I look forward to meeting you soon!

Hello! I work with adults experiencing all general mental health issues, and I also serve the adult neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ community. My commitment is to create a safe and nonjudgmental place where you can increase your sense of hope and self-worth, stretch beyond your comfort zone, explore your true self, and embrace the growth process.

I use a combination of evidence-based interventions depending on your individual struggles, and specialize in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). I am also informed in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and adapt my approach to address your issues in a personalized way where you feel understood and empowered as we work together to accomplish your goals, all while honoring your lived experiences.

I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Northern Arizona University. It would be my pleasure to collaborate with you in your journey toward healing, and searching for a therapist is the first step in accomplishing these goals. I also welcome feedback in how I can make our sessions more accessible and effective for you. I look forward to supporting you as you uncover the joy and strength already within you!
